McMaster Lawn Care & Pest Services: A New Logo That Works as Hard as They Do

Brand Refresh
Anyone who’s spent a summer wrestling crabgrass or chasing down a wasp nest knows lawn and pest control isn’t glamorous work. But it doesn’t have to look dour or plain, either. When McMaster came to us, they had a clear vision: a brand refresh that was fun, natural, and sophisticated all at once — three words that don’t always sit in the same sentence, let alone the same mark.
That was the puzzle we were excited to solve.
Fun, so it would feel approachable on a lawn sign in someone’s front yard. Natural, so it would feel honest to the work — green, growing, grounded in the outdoors. Sophisticated, so it would never read as a guy with a truck and a weed sprayer, but as a real, trusted business people are glad to hire twice.
Does it actually work everywhere?
That’s the practical test, the one a lot of logos quietly fail. McMaster needed a mark that could hold its own at full scale on the side of a truck, stay crisp and legible shrunk down on a yard sign from across the street, look clean and professional on invoices and business forms, and translate seamlessly into a digital app icon without losing its personality.
We live for that kind of challenge.
The Linda R. Thomas team listened first, designed second — building a logo with enough warmth to feel friendly, enough craft to feel premium, and enough simplicity to pop at any size, on any surface, in any medium.
The result
A brand that does exactly what McMaster needed: turns heads on the road, builds trust on the doorstep, and looks just as sharp on a phone screen as it does on a truck door.
Good design doesn’t just sit there looking nice. It goes to work. Just like McMaster does.
